As I was preparing to build a custom home, I searched for a local vendor who could provide the custom whole-home automation solution I imagined was possible. The local vendor for my preferred product line assured me that he could deliver everything I wanted, and then some. A year later, after spending twice as much as originally quoted, I took over the project and finished the programming myself. I found out along the way that my vendor had never before attempted a project as complex as mine and was in way over his head. Surely, there was a better way!

After working in the custom A/V installation field for 15 years, I was frustrated with the things I had seen – vendors overpricing inferior products, cutting corners to save money, taking on projects they were not qualified to complete and missing deadline after deadline. I met Jeff during his construction project and stepped in to help him finish his job.
